An Invitational Group Exhibit

   Guest Curated by Jodi Strmiska

Zeitgeist : n.
German: zeit : time, geist : ghost : the spirit, general trend of thought, or feeling, characteristic of a time period. "Time" : (? Sumerian) Ti’amat : the feminine primordial dragon, recounted in the Enuma Elish creation epic, as coiling in the empty Void of space before the universe existed -- until the third generation of gods, headed by Marduk vanquished her, and thus created the black wall of outer space, by dividing her dark body into Above and Below. In the Hebrew Genesis 1:1, Tehom, means literally, "the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

The York Square Cinema Gallery proudly presents its' "Fin-De-Siecle" sampler of artistic diversity, featuring the work of thirteen regional artists. Four themes of the exhibition will reflect the transition of the times, as interpreted each artist, (1) spirituality, (2) technology, (3) sexual expression, (4) the bending of Time around a corner of existence.
